The clock is ticking on the MLS summer transfer window — it closes at 11:59 p.m. tonight — and Orlando City is apparently not quite done making moves.
According to Goal.com’s Ives Galarcep, the Lions are working to finalize a trade that would send midfielder Luis Gil to the Colorado Rapids in exchange for veteran midfielder Dillon Powers.
The 2013 MLS Rookie of the Year saw his production drop off in 2016, with just one goal and four assists in 29 games — 24 of which were starts — and hasn’t produced much for the struggling Rapids this season either, with no goals and just one assist through 15 appearances.
