Jeff Higgins said his hunger for football has never waned even after he stepped down as head coach at Freedom High School of Orlando after the 2016 season to be an administrator.
He continued to hone his coaching skills as an assistant coach at Boone, Lake Howell and Orlando University High, but his desire to run his own program was still driving him. Wednesday, Higgins filled that void by accepting the head coaching position at Tohopekaliga High of Osceola County, which enters its fourth football season in 2021.
“It feels really good and I’m excited about getting going,” Higgins said.
