Honduran side Olimpia crashed out of the Concacaf Champions League on Saturday, dropping a 3-0 loss to Liga MX powerhouse Tigres in a semifinal match at Exploria Stadium in Orlando.
All three goals came as the direct result of an Olimpia mistake — two penalty kicks and an own goal. Tigres dominated the first half, laying pressure on the Olimpia backline and forcing keeper Edrick Menjivar to make six saves.
Yet despite the pressure, Olimpia managed to hold the Liga MX side off for the first 45 minutes of action, nearly entering half time at a scoreless draw.
