Tiger Woods was hospitalized after a rollover crash in California, according to a post from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The PGA star was the sole occupant of a single-vehicle rollover crash on the border of Rolling Hills Estates and Rancho Palos Verdes, the sheriff’s department stated. It responded to the crash at 7:12 a.m. Tuesday.
“The vehicle sustained major damage,” the department said. “Mr. Woods was extricated from the wreck with the ‘jaws of life’ by Los Angeles County firefighters and paramedics, then transported to a local hospital by ambulance for his injuries.”
Woods has in the past been in the spotlight for a suspected DUI in Palm Beach County, Florida.
