At least it did after Saturday night’s 26-25 win over the Las Vegas Raiders, a victory that veteran quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick produced in the fourth quarter after replacing rookie Tua Tagovailoa.
Playoff berth or not, this has been a good run for the Dolphins. Few excepted a winning season, much less a playoff berth in the second year of this rebuild. Even though Saturday night’s victory doesn’t guarantee Miami (10-5) one of the seven AFC playoffs spots, this team’s success and transformation in 2020 is the best thing that’s happened to the Dolphins since Miami’s transformation from a 1-15 team in 2007 to an AFC East champion in 2008.
