In front of a record crowd of 16,829, the Westfield Matildas came from a goal down to lead 3-1 late on, before the visitors set up a grandstand finish with a late penalty by Marta.
Kerr was the star of the show, scoring two – and producing a back-flip celebration – and having a big hand in the other goal to Caitlin Foord.
Just like they did in the recent Tournament of Nations, Brazil went on the front foot early, taking a lead inside the first minute. The early goal didn’t faze the Westfield Matildas and the immediately imposed themselves on the contest, with Sam Kerr, Hayley Raso and Emily van Egmond looking dangerous.
