LAKE FOREST, ILL. — The Miami Dolphins may end up fortunate with the injury rookie tight end Hunter Long suffered on Sunday.
Long was seen on the sidelines at the Dolphins’ joint practice with the Chicago Bears in Lake Forest, Illinois on Wednesday without any brace or sleeve on the left leg he appeared to hurt. Wearing shorts as he watched teammates go through drills, Long appeared to be walking fine.
Dolphins coach Brian Flores called Long day to day, which he says with most training-camp injuries, but it at least served to indicate it doesn’t seem to be anything that could put Long’s whole rookie season in jeopardy.
