Well, that was an incredibly disappointing transfer deadline day. I would say it was anti-climatic, but I’m not sure I really thought Orlando City was going to do anything anyway. However, I’m skipping ahead, so let’s take a look at the good, the bad, and the ugly.
The USWNT won the 2018 Tournament of Nations, defeating Brazil 4-1 in the final match. The Yanks needed a two-goal victory or better in the final match to win the tournament on goal differential over Australia, which had beaten Japan, 2-0 earlier that day. It was a good result for the USWNT, especially with the Women’s World Cup coming up next year.
