United States U-20 men’s national team head coach Anthony Hudson called 24 players for a camp in Bradenton, Florida, which runs Jan. 7-19 and includes a pair of friendlies against Mexico.
Hudson released the list of names Wednesday, just minutes after U.S. Soccer officially named him the team’s head coach.
One of Hudson’s former players in Colorado – midfielder Cole Bassett – is in the camp, along with 13 others who are affiliated with clubs in Major League Soccer: Goalkeepers David Ochoa of Real Salt Lake and John Pulskamp of Sporting Kansas City; defenders Jacob Akanyirige of the San Jose Earthquakes, Kevin Bonilla of FC Dallas, Nathan Harriel of the Philadelphia Union, Kurowskybob Pierre of Real Salt Lake, and Andre Reynolds II of Chicago Fire FC; midfielders Aidan Morris of Columbus Crew SC, Marcelo Palomino of the Houston Dynamo, and Thomas Roberts of FC Dallas; and forwards Gianluca Busio of Sporting Kansas City, Dante Sealy of FC Dallas, and Marlon Vargas of Seattle Sounders FC.
