NEW YORK — Midfielder Elizabeth Eddy has signed a new one-year deal with Sky Blue FC with a one-year option, the club announced Thursday in another example of rewarding the club’s veterans.
Eddy joined the club in June 2019 via trade from the North Carolina Courage, and became a mainstay in the team’s attack. Eddy played 17 matches and scored one goal last season, mostly as a midfielder, but occasionally played further forward. She proved to be helpful in attack with her creativity.
“Elizabeth was such a pleasant surprise for us after she joined us via trade in 2019,” general manager Alyse LaHue said in a club statement.
