NEW YORK — Sky Blue FC announced Monday that Paige Monaghan signed a two-year deal with a one-year option.
Monaghan was drafted 10th overall in 2019’s National Women’s Soccer League College Draft by Sky Blue and quickly established herself as a regular during her rookie season.
Monaghan split time between defense and the attack in 2019, eventually settling into a more familiar forward role after head coach Denise Reddy was fired last summer. Monaghan went on to score two goals and record one assist last season, and was rewarded with a Rookie of the Year nomination and an invitation to the United States women’s national team identification camp in January.
