NEW YORK — Sky Blue FC has restructured its leadership, announcing Wednesday the arrival of a new minority owner in Ed Nalbandian and a new role for Tammy Murphy, the New Jersey First Lady.
Nalbandian joins majority owners Murphy and her husband, New Jersey governor Phil Murphy, as well as former Bed Bath & Beyond chief executive officer Steve Temares. Nalbandian will also serve as the team’s vice chairperson, answering to Murphy, the team’s chairperson. Nalbandian will also be the owner most involved in the club’s day-to-day operations, and is expected to collaborate with general manager Alyse LaHue.
