Ben Wallace becoming a finalist for the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame earlier this week will only make long-time Magic fans shake their heads once again at one of the worst decisions in franchise history.
Years ago, the Magic allowed Wallace to be part of a mega-package to bring Grant Hill to Orlando on a sign-and-trade deal with the Detroit Pistons. Regrettably, we all know how that deal worked out for the Magic. Hill, the most coveted free agent in the league at the time, came to Orlando on crutches after having offseason ankle surgery in Detroit.
