ORLANDO — Miami Hurricanes senior safety Amari Carter is out for the team’s Cheez-It Bowl game against No. 21 Oklahoma State on Tuesday night at Camping World Stadium.
Carter was listed on 18th-ranked Miami’s pregame unavailability report, which otherwise came back clean with only redshirt freshman defensive lineman Jason Blissett joining him as out. Through much of the 2020 season, UM has released a list of players out but would not disclose reasons.
Carter is the Hurricanes’ second-leading tackler (53) entering Tuesday behind only fellow safety Bubba Bolden (65). He also finishes the season with two fumble recoveries and a pass breakup in 10 games played, nine starts.
