A rainy Friday turned into a nice night for high school football for the favorites in the Orlando area.
Sanford Seminole, coming off a Class 8A high school football state championship season, won 35-6 at home against Sarasota Riverview in the first game played in a refurbished Thomas E. Whigham Stadium on Friday night.
UCF commit linebacker Kameron Moore intercepted a pass and that set the ‘Noles up for their first touchdown of the game. Darren Lawrence had three rushing touchdowns for Seminole.
Seminole, which finished 12-0 last year, is No. 1 in the Sentinel Super 16 rankings for the Orlando area.
