A year after finishing as Class 8A undefeated state champion under first-year head coach Eric Lodge, the celebration has been called to a close and replaced by a renewed focus for this fall.
“We still cherish it, but coach Lodge preaches that that was last year and it’s a new start for us,” Seminole senior lineman Kentravious Williams said in the preseason. “We’re starting 0-0 now.”
Williams leads a sturdy offensive line looking to establish the run game with senior returning starter Donta Whack, who led the team in rushing in 2020. Junior Luke Rucker, an Oviedo transfer, and sophomore Karson Siqueiros-Lasky entered preseason practices vying for the starting role at quarterback.
