Sanford Seminole’s Eric Lodge hit the high school football trifecta in his first season as a head coach.
Lodge, 31, was named overall Florida Dairy Farmers football coach-of-the-year Wednesday morning. The honor comes on the heels of an undefeated regular season that concluded with a Class 8A state championship.
The Seminoles wrapped up a 12-0 campaign on Dec. 19 with a 38-10 win against Kissimmee Osceola in the Florida High School Athletic Association state final at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee.
“We couldn’t have done it without our assistant coaches, the players, our administration, and the support of the community,” said Lodge.
