Sanford Seminole High quarterback Timmy McClain and receiver Jimmy Horn Jr. decided to take their dynamic connection to the next level, with both signing to play for USF during an early National Signing Day ceremony in Sanford Wednesday.
McClain and Horn were instrumental in leading the Seminoles to an unbeaten 11-0 record and Saturday’s Class 8A state championship game in Tallahassee against Kissimmee Osceola.
Horn, a 5-foot-10, 165-pound speedster who will likely play slot receiver at USF, had no Football Bowl Subdivision scholarship offers three weeks ago. After a late surge in interest, he picked the Bulls over Georgia, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Jackson State.
