SAN JOSE, Calif. — The San Jose Earthquakes narrowly missed out on qualifying for the MLS Cup playoffs last season. Now, with the release of their 2020 regular season schedule, the Quakes know the path they’ll take as the look to make the postseason for the first time since 2017.
The league kept the schedule at 34 total games as in past years, but with the addition of expansion sides in Nashville and Miami and a conference-heavy slate, San Jose will not face every one of the other 25 MLS teams. Of the 13 Eastern Conference foes, the Earthquakes will play only 10, with the Columbus Crew, New York Red Bulls, and Orlando City left off the docket.
