Orlando Magic head coach Steve Clifford had a bit of a scare last March when he left a game in Minnesota with dizziness and was taken to an area hospital.
None of us at the Target Center covering the Magic vs. Timberwolves game that March 6 day even thought about coronavirus. But if the situation had taken place a few days later, the reaction across the NBA would have been wrought with assumptions, rumors and worry.
Fast forward five days, however, and the virus took the NBA by storm. The league had its first corona case March 11, when Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert tested positive.
