Real Salt Lake has bolstered its attack with a familiar name at striker.
Giuseppe Rossi joins RSL, the club announced Thursday. It will be the MLS debut for the American-born and American-raised player who chose to represent Italy at the international level. The 33-year-old previously had stints at Manchester United and Villarreal, and he arrives stateside after a 2019 that saw him without a club.
“Giuseppe’s resume speaks for itself,” RSL general manager Elliot Fall said in a statement. “He brings an impressive level of international experience to an already talented and cohesive roster.
