Seminole High came out firing on Friday night as South Florida commit QB Timmy McClain ripped off two touchdown runs during a 31-14 win over visiting Mainland.
After the teams traded punts during the first two minutes, the No. 4 Seminoles (2-0) faced third-and-9 from their own 2-yard line when McClain threw a perfect 50-yard pass to WR Jimmy Horn. On the next play, RB Donta Whack busted loose for a 47-yard TD run and and the Seminoles claimed a 7-0 lead.
During the next Seminole drive, McClain scrambled 4 yards for a score that put the 'Noles up 14-0 with 7:10 to go in the first.
