The Miami Hurricanes have benefited greatly from life with Lou Hedley as punter the past year and a half. As he grows his NFL stock as one of the nation’s top punters, there still may be more to come from Hedley beyond 2020.
The redshirt junior from Mandurah, Australia and City College of San Francisco before arriving at UM last season could theoretically have two seasons of eligibility left as the NCAA is not counting the 2020 season amid the coronavirus pandemic against player eligibility.
While the pros may come calling as he has averaged 47.6 yards on his 22 punts and pinned five inside the 20-yard line, Hedley values finishing his education before any potential move to the NFL.
