Philadelphia Union forward Sergio Santos has been tabbed for a breakout season in 2020.
The Brazilian came to the club as a long-term project from Chilean side Audax Italiano, and after dealing with injuries in 2019, he is ready to make a bigger impact in his second Major League Soccer season.
“The (coaches) told me this is the year for me to break out,” Santos told Pro Soccer USA through a translator. “They have confidence in my skill set and they expect me to go out there and make things happen.”
Santos was paired with last year’s leading scorer Kacper Przybylko in the season opener against FC Dallas.
