The Philadelphia Union picked up the contract options of eight players for the 2020 season on Wednesday.
Goalkeeper Joe Bendik, defenders Matt Real, Mark McKenzie and Olivier Mbaizo, midfielders Warren Creavalle, Anthony Fontana and forwards Cory Burke and Michee Ngalina are added to a 2020 roster that now contains 20 players.
The players that will not return are more notable. Marco Fabian and Haris Medunjanin are not coming back. Fabian was one of three players to have his contract option declined along with R.J. Allen and Fabinho. Medunjanin was out of contract and is not pursuing a deal with the club.
