Two weeks ago, after early National Signing Day when Sanford Seminole quarterback Timmy McClain signed with USF, many wondered who would be the new Seminoles’ quarterback.
Record-breaking Oviedo sophomore Luke Rucker has transferred to Sanford Seminole. Seminoles head coach Eric Lodge confirmed Rucker enrolled Monday, the first day of classes after the holiday break.
Losing a player the caliber of McClain, who had been the Seminole starter since his freshman season and guided the team to the Class 8A state title in December, was expected to create a big void in the Seminoles’ offense.
