Running was never a thing for Audrey Hayes, and she told her fiancé as much on their first date 2 1/2 years ago. But that didn’t last long.
Hayes’ fiancé is Chris Hughes, director of retail operations at Track Shack and the son of owners Betsy and Jon Hughes. Running is their life, and it soon became Hayes’ as well.
Not only did she enjoy participating in the family venture, which hosts most of the major races in Central Florida, Hayes quickly saw the health benefits of running in between long shifts working as a cardiothoracic operating room nurse.
