Kissimmee Osceola finally got to open its football season, six weeks after originally scheduled. And the No. 7 team in the Sentinel Super 16 looked hungry to play.
Osceola (1-0) scored six touchdowns in five different ways on its way to a 56-0 victory.
“As long as we got to play football, I didn’t care what else happened,” said Osceola coach Doug Nichols, who starts his 10th year at the helm for the Kowboys after three years at Liberty as its first head coach. “Some teams have had to cancel games, so the biggest thing was for us to get that Friday night feeling back.
