After spotting Sarasota Riverview an 11-point first-half lead, the Kissimmee Osceola Kowboys scored 21 unanswered points and then held on to beat the Rams, 24-20, in a Class 8A Region 4 semifinal football game on Friday night.
Leading 17 to 14 at halftime, Osceola (7-2) would take a 10-point lead on a Jamo Jones 10-yard touchdown run with 34 seconds remaining in the third quarter.
Then Riverview (9-2) fought back. Two long plays, including a 75-yard touchdown reception and a 78-yard run by Omari Hayes, were called back by penalties but the Rams still managed to make it a four-point game on a 5-yard touchdown run by Will Evans with 5:34 to go in the game.
