MIAMI — It only figured that on a night when defenses ran the show and offensive football was perhaps set back a half century or so, a special teams play would ultimately decide a big playoff game.
And fortunately for the Osceola Kowboys, they were on the right side of the play that ultimately led to a 9-3 victory over Miami Palmetto in a Class 8A state semifinal on Saturday night at Traz Powell Stadium.
Just when it appeared an early first quarter Palmetto field goal and 3-0 lead might hold up for the entire game, the Kowboys found a minor miracle.
