Kissimmee Osceola, the No. 5 team in the Sentinel Super 16 high school football rankings, struggled to separate itself from Lake Nona in the first half but pulled away late for a 34-7 road win on Thursday night.
Ja’Randy Swint rushed for 133 yards and a pair of second-half touchdowns to lead the Kowboys (5-1).
The Lions (3-3), who moved the ball effectively in the first half, were limited to 35 offensive yards on 20 second half plays by the Osceola defense.
The Kowboys broke the tie when Swint scored on a 14-yard touchdown run in the third minute of the third quarter for a 14-7 lead.
