Forward Claire Emslie will not return for the Orlando Pride after signing with English side Everton. The signing will last through June 2022.
The winger joined Everton on loan for the latter half of 2020 following the Pride’s withdrawal from the NWSL Challenge Cup. She was named Women’s Super League player of the month in October, making an impact on the team despite an injury in recent weeks.
Emslie joined the Pride midway through the 2019 season, making her debut after representing Scotland in the FIFA World Cup in France. She only recorded 11 total appearances for Orlando, bringing much-needed creativity to the flanks of the Pride attack with stars Alex Morgan and Sydney Leroux sidelined.
