The Orlando Pride’s star forward added another award to her resume by winning the United States Soccer Female Player of the Year. This is the second time that Morgan won the award, six years after winning it in 2012 when she led the Yanks to a gold medal in the London Olympics. The other nominees were Julie Ertz, Lindsey Horan, Tobin Heath, and Megan Rapinoe.
“It was an incredible year for the U.S. Women’s National Team, going undefeated, and there were a lot of players that stepped up and played essential parts in leading this team,” said Morgan.
