The Orlando Pride have waived Australian international center back Laura Alleway. The writing has been on the wall for a while on this move, since Alleway lost her starting spot on Tom Sermanni’s back line early this season. The cut opens up a roster spot and an international slot for the team as it looks to bolster the squad for the second half of the 2017 NWSL season.
Alleway, 27, was signed back on March 8 of 2016 and appeared in 13 matches making 10 starts over her two seasons with the Pride. The Australian international totaled 917 minutes on the back line, posting six shots.
