The Orlando Pride have traded midfielder Dani Weatherholt to Reign FC in exchange for a second-round pick in the 2021 NWSL Draft.
Weatherholt was a member of the Pride’s original roster, serving as the team’s No. 31 overall pick in the 2016 NWSL Draft. She has appeared in 74 matches for the Pride, netting three goals and one assist.
Last season, she appeared in 19 of the Pride’s 24 games. She also served as captain for the team during a five-game streak while veteran players were called up during the World Cup.
“On behalf of everyone at the Orlando Pride, I want to thank Dani for her contributions to the Club these last four seasons,” Pride general manager Erik Ustruck said.
