A hip pointer injury kept Orlando Pride forward Alex Morgan off the training field for a few weeks, but she is back and ready to play as the team's inaugural season inches closer.
The old injury, which flared up during a preseason match, also sidelined her during the U.S. women's national team's two friendlies against Colombia last week.
Pride coach Tom Sermanni said Morgan will be available for the team's National Women's Soccer League debut at Portland Sunday night.
"At this moment in time, she'll be playing, she'll be playing significant minutes, if not the full 90 minutes," Sermanni said during media day Thursday afternoon.
