Orlando Pride signs striker Sydney Leroux to 3-year contract

The Orlando Pride re-signed Sydney Leroux to a three-year contract, securing the star striker through the 2023 NWSL season.

The club signed Leroux to the maximum contract available to NWSL players, which was set at $650,000 in 2020. The deal came after uncertainty throughout the offseason when Leroux’s husband, Dom Dwyer, did not re-sign with Orlando City.

Leroux rounds out a small but formidable forward group alongside Brazilian star Marta and U.S. women’s national team star Alex Morgan.

“We’re thrilled to have Sydney continue to be an important part of the Pride family and greater Orlando community,” Orlando Pride general manager Ian Fleming said.
