The Orlando Pride signed Erika Tymrak to a one-year contract with an additional year option ahead of the 2021 season, bringing the midfielder back into the game 13 months after she announced her retirement.
The club acquired Tymrak through a trade with Kansas City earlier this month, sending forward Kristen Edmonds to KC in exchange for Gunny Jónsdóttir and Tymrak’s rights.
“I took a year off, just took some time for myself and I got the itch to play again,” Tymrak said. “I kind of knew, deep down I wasn’t done, but Orlando seemed like the perfect fit.
