Orlando Pride players are still waiting for the National Women’s Soccer League to decide whether it will stage more matches in 2020, a decision that could impact where they spend the rest of this year.
Rumors about NWSL players potentially moving to Europe for the remainder of 2020 have swirled since the final week of the Challenge Cup.
However, a club source said Friday morning the Pride have not completed any new loans for any players, including Emslie.
If the NWSL decides it will not play any additional regular season matches until 2021, it is likely that many players throughout the league will depart on short-term loans to European teams.
