With four matches left in the NWSL regular season, interim coach Becky Burleigh emphasized the law of competition in training on Wednesday to motivate her Orlando Pride team.
The theory emphasizes the importance of learning from and moving beyond prior mistakes — something the Pride must do as they look to rebound from a 3-0 rout against the OL Reign over the weekend.
“You can’t really change what you did yesterday and you can’t really affect tomorrow, but you can work on what you have right in front of you,” Burleigh said. “Right in front of us is a good day to get some training in.
