Orlando Pride midfielder Camila will not play the rest of the Australian W-League season after suffering a knee injury. The Brazilian injured her left MCL during training last week and team doctors recommended a six-week recovery period.
The recovery period is expected to overlap with Orlando Pride preseason training in March, but Camila could be available for the start of the National Women’s Soccer League season in April.
Camila has struggled with knee injuries in the past.
She tore both her ACL and MCL during the final game of the 2017 NWSL season, then spent much of 2018 recovering.
