The Orlando Pride loaned goalkeeper Erin McLeod to Ungmennafélag Stjarnan, a team in the Icelandic league Úrvalsdeild Kvenna. The keeper has been in Iceland for several weeks and will join the club immediately, with the loan expiring this year on October 20.
McLeod is the third Orlando Pride player to be loaned out for the rest of 2020 following the team’s withdrawal from the NWSL Challenge Cup. Defender Ali Riley and midfielder Camila are both on loan as well, with several other players expected to play abroad at some point this year.
After being acquired by the Pride in the offseason, McLeod has yet to play a minute for the team due to the season shutdown.
