The Orlando Pride are eager to carry the energy of their first regular season win of the year into Wednesday night’s match against the Portland Thorns.
The team felt buoyed by Saturday’s 2-1 win against the Courage in North Carolina, a victory players felt captured a change in team culture that’s been brewing since 2020. But the Pride were given no time to celebrate before returning home to face the Thorns.
Wednesday’s match — which kicks off at 7 p.m., with a live stream on Paramount+ — will test the Pride’s ability to remain consistent.
“What we have to do is bounce into this game with the same momentum that we created against North Carolina,” coach Marc Skinner said.
