The Orlando Pride finished their final match of the Challenge Cup with a scoreless road draw against the North Carolina Courage on Saturday night, holding off one of the most potent attacks in the league for a second straight shutout.
The Pride entered the match prepared for a shootout against top North Carolina attackers Debinha and Lynn Williams. Although North Carolina outshot Orlando — taking 19 to the Pride’s nine on the night — North Carolina wasn’t able to place many of those opportunities into a dangerous position, finishing with only three shots on goal.
After a Player-of-the-Week performance against Washington, keeper Ashlyn Harris only needed to make two saves to keep the clean sheet.
