The host Orlando Pride tumbled out of their top spot in the NWSL with a loss to the North Carolina Courage on Sunday, suffering their second straight loss of the season.
Keeper Ashlyn Harris denied the Courage’s top attackers throughout the match, but her performance wasn’t enough to prevent a 2-0 setback.
With the loss, the Pride (4-2-3, 15) fall to the second spot in the league table as the Courage overtake them at the top of the standings.
The Courage pounced on the first Pride mistake of the match. Debinha picked off an errant pass from Meggie Dougherty Howard, flying through the box to send in the opening strike in the third minute.
