Yet even without playing a single minute in a Pride uniform, Riley feels confident in both her place on the Pride roster and the strength of the NWSL.
“It was crushing, it really was,” Riley said. “There were definitely a lot of low moments, but I think in terms of of women’s football in this country, it actually gave me confidence. ... I’ve never second guessed that I wanted to come back here.
