The Orlando Pride are headed into one of the toughest home field environments in the NWSL as they look to break their winless streak in Portland on Sunday.
The team hasn’t played in Portland since before the COVID-19 pandemic. With Providence Park returned to full capacity, players across the team said they were eager to experience the stadium’s energy again.
As both teams adjust to the loss of top stars due to the Tokyo Olympics, coach Marc Skinner said his side is unintimidated by the road environment.
“I think you can only ever approach it as something really special to look forward to and something that you’ve got to put everything in,” Skinner said.
