Orlando Pride captain Ashlyn Harris said the team is focused on the future after the abrupt departure of former coach Marc Skinner.
Skinner resigned from the Pride head coach position Friday as he prepares to assume the manager position for Manchester United in the FA Women’s Super League. The coach was pulled from training after Manchester United first contacted the Pride Monday, leaving players reeling through an uncertain week before his eventual decision.
Harris led the team through its first match following Skinner’s departure barely 24 hours later. After a 2-0 loss on Saturday to the OL Reign, Harris’ frustration with the last week’s turmoil was visible.
