Although it came on the heels of a loss, last weekend also marked the close of an important stretch for the Orlando Pride — the best start to a regular season in the club’s history.
The loss frustrated the Pride, who lacked energy in the first half of their third game of the week after a grueling schedule of back-to-back road games. But as the team enters the heart of the NWSL season, the Pride are relishing the quick turnaround in success since the last time the team took the field.
“If we can for one second forget about the loss and think about what these players and this team have done in such a short period of time together — they’ve turned around their whole attitude, their whole ethic, their whole commitment to each other,” coach Marc Skinner said.
