Orlando City’s Daryl Dike helps USMNT to top Gold Cup group with rivalry win over Canada

The U.S. men’s national team clinched the top spot in Group B of the Concacaf Gold Cup after beating Canada in a tightly contested 1-0 result on Sunday.

The victory completed a clean sweep of the group in Kansas City, Kan., for the Americans, who previously topped Martinique and Haiti earlier in the week. But the result was mixed for the Americans, who struggled through a disjointed performance to barely hold off a Canadian comeback.

The United States took an early lead off an electric goal from Shaq Moore in the 20th second of play. But after the Americans were done celebrating, the tone of the game rapidly shifted.
